The drilling fluid desander is a third-stage solids control device used to treat drilling fluids. Depending on the diameter of the hydrocyclone, it is categorized into either a hydrocyclonic drilling fluid desilter or a hydrocyclonic drilling fluid desander. Typically, hydrocyclones with diameters of 6″ or smaller are assembled into what’s known as a drilling fluid desander—this equipment serves as a third-stage solids control tool in drilling operations. Commonly used models include 5″ and 4″ hydrocyclones, which are primarily designed to separate solid-phase particles ranging from 15 to 47 μm in size from the drilling fluid. The number of hydrocyclone units combined into a desander system is selected based on the customer’s specific processing requirements. Hydrocyclonic drilling fluid desanders are widely employed in oil drilling and horizontal directional drilling applications for efficient hydrocyclonic desanding and separation processes.

The Y-shaped fitting features a spherical seat that allows for an offset or angular adjustment of 7.5 degrees off-center, with a total offset capability of 15 degrees. In addition to the steel-to-steel mating interface, the NBR rubber 0-ring ensures airtight sealing at any offset position. Recommended for high-pressure pipeline connections where alignment is not possible, this fitting is suitable for applications involving air, water, oil, slurry, or gases.

The bimetal cylinder liner consists of two layers of metal: an outer layer made of high-quality carbon steel, and an inner layer crafted from a high-chromium, wear-resistant alloy iron. After heat treatment, the inner sleeve achieves a hardness of HRC62 or higher, with a smooth, mirror-like inner surface and tightly controlled dimensional tolerances. Typically, it can deliver a service life of over 800 hours.
